As the Pittsburgh saint and ambassador of Steeler Nation, I have to post my response to this preview. The Steelers 9-7 projection is right around in line with what I've predicted (i say 10-6). I think 10 wins will easily win the AFC North, because the schedules are brutal.
Think about it...the Steelers have one stretch of consecutive weeks that goes (in order):
Giants, Skins, Colts, Chargers, Bengals, Patriots, Cowboys
If they can escape that 5-2 (at worse, 4-3 with a win over one of the out of division AFC teams), I think they'll be in good shape. More than likely Pitt will have to repeat it's 5-1 AFC North record from last year in order to keep the division title in the Steel City.
As for the Browns...well, Cleveland sucks. Plain and simple. 8-8
Bengals are always dangerous, but they are also the Bengals. 7-9 for them.
Ravens are interesting. I don't think they are going to win much this year, but their defense will keep them in games. I love the additions of Flacco and Ray Rice, but I agree Flacco shouldn't play until weeks 14-16 when the season has been lost and they are preparing for 2009. Ray Rice is a solid backup to McGahee, and McGahee is due for another injury soon. 5-11 for the Ravens.
