I think this was a good article and you made a good case for the Rock. However, I disagree and I think the answer here has to be Stone Cold.
He was the one who made it the attitude era in my opinion. It was his attitude that started it all. He didnt give a fuck. He did what he wanted. Gave the finger, drank beers and beat the hell outta people (including his own boss) and the fans loved every second of it. They didn't care whether he was good or bad. Hes the one who made it good to be bad. Every time his music sounded and that glass crashed down you knew he was gonna do somethin crazy.
Although the Rock played a big part in it, Stone Cold is the one who made the attitude era what it was.
And thats the bottom line.....(u kno the rest).

True that V. The point of the article though was who's had the biggest impact on today's WWE. From where Young Franchise sits, it's the Rock. No one else out there is tryna look like SC or D-X. But I see bits and pieces of the Rock in so many of the younger guys. I guess that comes with being the Peoples' Champion. I do agree though that Austin was the Attitude Era. For all the reasons you mentioned plus more. But Stone Cold ended up being a shot in the dark. There was nothing else. When was Steve Austin/Williams ever a main eventer? Even in ECW, he wasn't more than a mid-carder. The gimmick allowed him to shine through and we learned that VKM still has people with good ideas. When forced to think that is....
